Next stop is Ayutthaya, the historic capital from the 1300s, known for its spectacular temple ruins and serene atmosphere. Then it’s on to the historic city of U-Thong, the ancient lost city of Thailand, home to sites including a massive Buddha carved into the side of a cliff face, and the U Thong National Museum. Your journey will then continue on to Kanchanaburi to visit one of the prisoner of war camps, and the world-famous bridge on the River Kwai, a sobering look into one of the most significant events in war history, before concluding in Bangkok.
