The Royal Morocco Tour is the fullest journey we offer through this country. You’ll sleep in a 1,200-year-old medina, walk among 2,000-year-old Roman ruins, spend a night in a Sahara desert camp, cross the High Atlas, and finish your trip with three relaxed days on the Atlantic coast. Every day is private, every vehicle is accessible, every hotel has been verified.
Travel is by private chauffeured Mercedes Vito with a side Roll-a-Ramp, professional driver throughout, and local guides for each city tour. Each accommodation is checked directly with the property and the access details you need are confirmed before you book. This includes the deluxe Berber tent camp in the Sahara, where the soft sand is swept from paths, roll-in showers and toilet commodes are in place, and the floors are poured concrete.
Three locations on this tour involve adapted experiences rather than fully step-free routes: Volubilis Roman ruins (rough terrain, manual chair with a pusher), Aït Ben Haddou (Joelette trekking wheelchair for sloped, unpaved access), and the Sahara desert camp (reached by 4×4 with a manual transfer required, or stay step-free at the auberge on the edge). All other excursions use flat or accessible-routed paths.

The Fes Medina sits on a hill. Our adapted route crosses it with minimal barriers, but expect some uneven paths. Power wheelchair users may encounter an occasional step requiring a small portable ramp.

The 4×4 transfer to the desert camp involves a manual lift in and out of the vehicle, with assistance from our team. The 4×4 itself is not ramp or lift-equipped. If that's not for you, the auberge on the desert's edge is an equally wonderful experience: step-free throughout, with views of the dunes. Either way, your wheelchair travels with you, and the Berber tent camp itself has poured concrete floors, swept paths, a roll-in shower, and toilet commodes placed as needed.

The movie studios are unpaved but generally flat. We recommend a manual chair with someone pushing for the best experience. Ouarzazate itself is a fairly flat city.

Aït Ben Haddou is built into a hillside and is not wheelchair-accessible by standard means. The Joelette trekking wheelchair is the only way to experience the ksar properly. It can be hired through your tour pack.

Marrakech is one of the better Moroccan cities for wheelchair users. The medina is largely flat, though you may encounter some rough paths and small steps. Our guides actively route around barriers during your tour.

The Hassan II Mosque is mostly accessible to wheelchair users, with a small step at the entry. The lower washing rooms have a flight of stairs and cannot be reached safely; we don't recommend the offered hand-carrying option for obvious reasons.

- Number of travellers. Two, four or six people sharing the same vehicle and guide brings the per-person cost down.
- Accommodation tier. Choose between verified standard hotels, authentic riads in the heart of the medina, or 5-star luxury throughout. We'll show you the options side by side.
- Flight availability. We'll find the right route from your nearest UK airport and pre-book Special Assistance with the airline.
- Equipment hire. The Joelette wheelchair, beach wheelchair, mobile hoist, and any other kit you need is added at cost.

There are two options depending on your mobility. The deluxe Berber tent camp at the oasis is reached by 4×4 across the soft sand; the 4×4 isn't ramp or lift-equipped, so this option works if you're willing to manually transfer in and out of the vehicle with assistance from our team. Your wheelchair travels with you so you can use it at the camp, which has poured concrete floors, swept paths, Berber carpets over remaining sand, a roll-in shower, and toilet commodes placed as needed. The equally lovely alternative is to stay at the auberge on the desert's edge: step-free throughout, with the same dune views.
Yes. The Mercedes Vito is sized to accommodate manual and power chairs with a side Roll-a-Ramp. For the Sahara segment, your chair travels in the back of the 4×4 to the camp, so you can continue using it once there. For Aït Ben Haddou and Volubilis, your own chair stays in the vehicle while you use the Joelette or a manual chair with a pusher.
Carers are welcome and a discounted carer rate applies where they share a room with you (subject to evidence of caring need). If they need a separate room, the standard per-person rate applies. We'll quote both options when you enquire.

Flights from the UK to Casablanca Mohammed V Airport take around 3.5 hours from London. We can quote you flights as part of your booking and pre-arrange Special Assistance (SSR codes WCHR, WCHS, WCHC) with the airline. Alternatively, book flights yourself and we'll handle everything from arrival in Casablanca onwards.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most comfortable for the inland and desert sections. Summer is very hot in Fes, Marrakech, and the Sahara; winter is mild on the coast but cold in the mountains overnight. We'll talk through your preferences when you enquire.
